ProductionWatch Frequently Asked Questions

What is ProductionWatch?

ProductionWatch is a service that provides well data such as volume, pressure and temperature from the Enogex meter to the external customer for a fee.

Which customers can benefit from ProductionWatch?

Operators and interest owners of natural gas wells connected to Enogex’s pipeline will benefit from ProductionWatch. End-users receiving gas deliveries will also benefit from ProductionWatch.

How do customers benefit?
Customers with ProductionWatch can:

  • Maximize gas production by attending to wells that are not producing
  • Increase pumper efficiency by managing wells by exception
  • Eliminate unnecessary trips to the field to gather production data
  • Eliminate costly, error-prone manual data entry

How does ProductionWatch work?

At each ProductionWatch installation, Enogex installs an electronic flow meter (EFM), solar panel and battery at the meter site. The solar panel and battery are oversized, which permits 24 x 7 operations even during periods of extended cloud cover. In addition, ProductionWatch satisfies the National Electric Code’s Class I, Division II space requirements. When Enogex polls the EFM’s SCADA system, data is transmitted to redundant data centers where it is processed and made available for both downloading from Enogex servers (using secure file transfer) and viewing on the Web.

What type of data is available?

ProductionWatch provides customers with

Accumulated Flow Volume – the volume of gas accumulated over a time period as logged to a historical record in the electronic flow measurement device (“EFM”). The gas volume will be stated in units of thousand cubic feet (MCF).

Average Static Meter Pressure – the average static pressure (PSIA) of the gas at a particular meter during flowing conditions over a time period as logged to a historical record in the EFM. In the event of partial gas flow during a time period, the non-flowing pressures shall not be included in the calculation of the average static meter pressure; if no gas flows for such time period, the average static meter pressure will be the average of the non-flowing meter pressures for such time period.

Average Meter Temperature – the average temperature (degrees Fahrenheit) of the gas during flowing conditions over a time period as logged to a historical record in the EFM. In the event of partial gas flow during a time period, the non-flowing temperatures shall not be included in the calculation of the average meter temperature; if no gas flows for such time period, the average meter temperature will be the average of the non-flowing temperatures for such time period.

Average Meter Differential Pressure – the average differential pressure (inches of water) across the orifice plate during flowing conditions over a time period as logged to a historical record in the EFM. In the event of partial gas flow during a time period, the zero differential pressures shall not be included in the calculation of the average meter differential pressure.

Flow Time - The amount of time the meter registers flow during the time period as logged to a historical record in the EFM.

How can I access well data?

Data can be obtained by logging on to Enogex’s Web site at www.enogex.com and viewing the data or downloading it in an Excel file format. In addition, data may be pulled from an Enogex server using secure file transfer.

How much does ProductionWatch cost?

ProductionWatch is quite inexpensive. Daily reports are only $39 per meter per month while hourly reports are $49 per meter per month. Customers subscribed to hourly reports will also receive daily reports at no additional cost.

Are there system requirements?

To gain access to ProductionWatch, an an Internet capable PC running Internet Explorer 5.0 or later is required along with Adobe Acrobat reader version 5.0 or later.

Does the Enogex Web site have information about ProductionWatch?
