OG&E filed a request (PUD Case No. 200500151) with
the Oklahoma Corporate Commission on Friday, May 20, for
an $89 million rate increase to pay for investments to
improve the reliability of its electric system.
The filing recommends rate decreases for small business
customers, public schools, Tinker Air Force Base, some
low income customers and wind power subscribers.
Rate increases are proposed for residential customers
and the largest industrial customers. The regulatory
body is expected to hear the case beginning Oct. 10 and
issue a decision by Nov. 16. New rates would become
effective in December.
