| How Power is Restored |

| OG&E starts at the source of the power and works
outward to restore electricity. |
|
|
| The diagram below shows the typical order of power restoration on OG&E's system. In this case, restoration would begin from the transmission line and progress from there. |
|
|
| The first priority in this case is fixing the problem at point A on the transmission line. With the line out, none of the houses can have power restored. |
|
|
| Next, we would fix the problem at B on the main distribution line running out of the substation. Houses 2, 3, 4 and 5 are affected by this problem. |
|
|
| Once the problem at B has been fixed, we would go to the tap line at C, affecting houses 4 and 5. Finally, we would repair the service line at D to house 1. |
|
|
| This repair sequence may mean some homes may be without power while others around them have power. The goal is to bring power back quickly to as many customers as possible. |
