211 is a 24/7 free service available to all Oklahomans across 77 counties operated by two nonprofit organizations: Heartline, Inc. for the western half of our state, and the Tulsa Area United Way for the eastern half. Dialing 211 can connect Oklahomans to critical resources including electric, water and gas bill assistance, along with food, clothing and housing help.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program

Oklahoma Human Services offers applications for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). In Arkansas, LIHEAP is operated by a network of community-based organizations (CBOs), which serves all 75 Arkansas counties. You must first qualify for LIHEAP to apply for OG&E’s low-income assistance.

Low-Income Assistance Program

Our Low-Income Assistance Program (LIAP) gives qualified Oklahoma customers a $13 per month credit on their bill.

Residential Energy Efficiency Program

Whether you live in a house, apartment, or mobile home, renters and owners alike can qualify for energy-saving upgrades from OG&E. Qualifying customers are eligible for efficiency improvements, and income-qualified households may receive additional services—worth up to $3,000—at no out-of-pocket cost.

Lend-a-Hand

OG&E and The Salvation Army have partnered to offer assistance with energy bills through the Lend-a-Hand program. For more information, contact The Salvation Army office in your area. Call 405-840-0735 to find the nearest Salvation Army office.

Silver Energy Discount

Oklahoma seniors age 65+ who enroll in any SmartHours plan qualify for a $10 monthly credit, June through October and a $5 monthly credit for all other months of the year. That's $85 in savings each year on top of a lower price for 19 hours each weekday and all day on weekends, Juneteenth, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
