We provide access to resources, financial support, and learning opportunities to the communities we serve. Our partnerships with social service agencies support our mission to provide a safe environment for our customers and communities. We are committed to empowering sustainability and protecting the environment through innovative solutions through partnerships with a diverse range of nonprofits. With each partnership, we are focused on strengthening our communities and sustaining the environment in order to lead and promote meaningful change.

e-SMARTkids
30,000 students in grades K-6 receive an OG&E e-SMARTkids booklet with educational materials about electricity, energy, and how to use it safely and wisely through information, games, and activities.

Preserving Habitat
More than 500 bald eagles now call Oklahoma home, including our Sooner Lake and Horseshoe Lake power plants through innovative measures in our Avian Protection Plan.
Glams
We sponsor and participate in the University of Oklahoma (OU) Women in Engineering GLAMS (Girls Learning and Applying Math and Science) introducing middle school girls to careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Our employees join in on the fun and share their experiences with attendees while helping them learn more about careers in STEM.

The OKC Thunder
The OG&E ThunderBolt offers fans at local festivals, school celebrations, and more an opportunity to engage in an interactive, Thunder-themed experience to learn about energy efficiency. The Community Ticket Program, presented by OG&E, offers free Thunder Basketball tickets to community groups, schools, and non-profits. Additionally, we join forces throughout the season to recognize local emergency personnel as OG&E Safety Partners, who exemplify our core values while protecting and serving our communities.

Scissortail Pollinator Garden
Working with Scissortail Park, we're raising awareness about the important role pollinators play in our ecosystem. Our partnership includes new plantings throughout the park and signage to highlight pollinator plants and the insects and animals involved in the pollination process.

Keep Oklahoma Beautiful
OG&E is a founding member of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful and we continue to support the organization's mission. Every year, we provide small grants to Oklahoma communities to help jump-start their Great American Clean-Up projects.
Eligibility & Timeline
The OGE Energy Corp. Foundation is subject to Internal Revenue Service rules and regulations governing private and charitable foundations.
To qualify for grant funding consideration, your organization must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a U.S.-based IRS 501(c)(3) qualified charitable or educational organization or an accredited K-12 educational institution
  • Be geographically located where OG&E operates
  • Serve communities without discrimination against any individual on the basis of race, creed, gender, age, sexual orientation or national origin
  • Have a method by which to measure, track, and report program outcomes and specific results that demonstrate measurable community impact
The OGE Energy Corp. Foundation generally does not fund grants for programs and projects associated with, but not limited to, the following:
  • An individual person or families
  • Building or Capital investments and improvements
  • Dinners, luncheons or other forms of indirect support
  • Organizations that are not 501(c)(3) organizations
  • Political parties or candidates
  • Religious activities, in whole or in part, for the purpose of furthering religious doctrine. The Foundation will consider funding faith-based organizations which provide services to all clients regardless of denomination
  • Sports teams/events such as tournaments (other than Special Olympics)
  • Organizations offering goods or services to employees as a benefit of grant approval (e.g., participation in golf tournaments, reservations at fundraising dinners, tickets to special events, etc.)
Applications are accepted year-round; however, funding decisions are made three times a year. Applications are evaluated three times per year during committee meetings based on the following dates:
Oct. 1 - Jan. 31 (Committee Meeting in March)
Feb. 1 - May 31 (Committee Meeting in July)
June 1 - Sept. 31 (Committee Meeting in November)
