Education

School is back in session but before kicking off a new year, OG&E employees hosted 13 school supply drives across our service area to distribute essential supplies to kids and teachers. Additionally, the OGE Energy Corp. Foundation donated $2,500 to each district.

"By investing in education, we invest in the future," said Kelli Hayward Walsh, Manager Community Outreach & Engagement. "These funds will equip students with essential supplies, fostering an environment where learning thrives."

The following districts received donations:

  • Bristow
  • Coyle
  • Fargo-Gage
  • Glencoe
  • Ft. Smith, Arkansas
  • Healdton
  • Madill
  • Pioneer-Pleasant Vale
  • Poteau
  • Ripley
  • Shawnee
  • Stratford
  • Warner

"I know many of your employees collected school supplies on their own; we very much appreciate OG&E going above and beyond to provide for our students," said Scott Kempenich, Superintendent of Poteau Public Schools. "Your donations will make life a little easier for many students, their families, and teachers."

OG&E employees volunteered to deliver supplies and enjoyed engaging with educators and students at each school district. This initiative highlights OG&E's dedication to our communities and our commitment to energizing education.
