OG&E completed restoration to customers affected by severe storms that swept across OG&E's service area earlier this week. Lightning and damaging wind caused downed power lines, broken power poles, and damage to cross arms and other equipment attached to poles. Restoration work was completed by crews, who worked tirelessly to repair the damage.

By the Numbers

  • More than 80,000 customers were restored, and 98% of customers were restored within the first 48 hours.
  • Replaced over 200 poles, and 64 transmission structures.
  • More than 400 distribution poles, 90 transmission poles, 170 transformers, and 1,000 cross arms were utilized in the rebuild.
  • The reliability investments OG&E has made in the grid and automated technology are eliminating outages and reducing outage time.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our OG&E crews, we were able to repair the grid and restore power to homes and businesses safely and quickly. We truly appreciate our customers' patience and understanding throughout this restoration process.
