Employees from across Oklahoma and western Arkansas have been busy this holiday season! Here are some of their volunteering highlights:

  • Build-a-Bike Program: OG&E donated 330 bicycles and helmets, with nearly 30 employees from the Sooner Power Plant volunteering to assemble and check each bike for quality and safety.
  • Brentwood Nursing Center: Employees from our Muskogee Power Plant adopted 30 senior angels, providing each one with a special gift during the holiday season.
  • Fostering Futures: Employees volunteered in Norman, shopping for foster children, unloading and wrapping gifts, and helping distribute gifts to foster families.
  • OK City Center: Employees helped wrap over 5,000 donated gifts for children and families to enjoy.
  • Salvation Army: Employees across Oklahoma City and Fort Smith, Arkansas supported this year's Red Kettle Campaign by ringing bells and volunteering to distribute Angel Tree gifts to families.
  • Cookie Deliveries: Cookies were delivered to our partners in education, including Cavanaugh Elementary and Shady Point Public Schools in Arkansas. Additionally, students from Cavanaugh Elementary visited our service center to sing carols and spread festive cheer.
  • Project Compassion: As part of the Hearts of Gold program, our River Valley employees collected and delivered items to residents at the Oaks Nursing Home in Poteau, Arkansas.
  • Community Services Clearinghouse Toy Drive: Our Fort Smith Service Center hosted a toy collection drive in November and December to help children in need receive gifts during the holiday season.

A Big Orange thank you to our employees for all they did to bring joy to the community! We look forward to seeing how we can energize communities in 2025.
