Residential Energy Efficiency
What is the Residential Energy Efficiency Program?

The Residential Energy Efficiency Program is offered to help customers reduce their energy use and save money on their bills. The program provides customers with an In-Home Energy Assessment, personalized energy efficiency recommendations, and rebates for installing energy-saving measures for no additional costs.

What are the program requirements?

To participate in the program, you need to be an OG&E residential customer with an active account. You also need to have a single-family home or a multifamily unit with its own meter.

What are the benefits of the program?

The program can help you lower your energy usage and improve your home comfort. By participating, you can receive a free In-Home Energy Assessment, which includes a report with customized energy-saving tips and recommendations. You can also qualify for rebates of up to $4,000 for installing eligible energy efficiency measures, such as insulation, air sealing, duct sealing, HVAC upgrades, and smart thermostats.

What is included in the In-Home Energy Assessment?

The In-Home Energy Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of your home's energy performance, conducted by a certified energy auditor. The assessment takes about two hours and involves a visual inspection, a blower door test, and an infrared scan of your home. The auditor will also collect information about your energy usage, appliances, and lifestyle. After the assessment, you will receive a report with your home's energy score, potential energy savings, and recommended energy efficiency measures.

How can I schedule an In-Home Energy Assessment?

You can schedule an In-Home Energy Assessment online here. You will be able to select a preferred date and time for the assessment. A representative will contact you to confirm your appointment and provide you with additional information.

Can I participate if I live in an apartment?

Yes, we offer many of the same rebates for multi-family customers, such as property assessments, air sealing, duct sealing, A/C tune-ups, and more. Management approval is required for the entire building to participate.
