We’re Driving Meaningful Change
We build long-lasting partnerships with organizations throughout Oklahoma and western Arkansas to help meet the needs of our customers. We honor our mission by supporting their work in education, health & human services, environment, arts & culture, and community development to strengthen our local communities.
Strengthening Our Communities
We provide access to resources, financial support, and learning opportunities to the communities we serve. Our partnerships with social service agencies support our mission to provide a safe environment for our customers and communities. We are committed to empowering sustainability and protecting the environment through innovative solutions through partnerships with a diverse range of nonprofits. With each partnership, we are focused on strengthening our communities and sustaining the environment in order to lead and promote meaningful change.
Our Impact
e-SMARTkids
30,000 students in grades K-6 receive an OG&E e-SMARTkids booklet with educational materials about electricity, energy, and how to use it safely and wisely through information, games, and activities.
25,000
Number of public-school students that will have new learning experiences through our partnership with DonorsChoose.
Preserving Habitat
More than 500 bald eagles now call Oklahoma home, including our Sooner Lake and Horseshoe Lake power plants through innovative measures in our Avian Protection Plan.
GLAMS
We sponsor and participate in the University of Oklahoma (OU) Women in Engineering GLAMS (Girls Learning and Applying Math and Science) introducing middle school girls to careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Our employees join in on the fun and share their experiences with attendees while helping them learn more about careers in STEM.
The OKC Thunder
The OG&E ThunderBolt gives fans at local festivals, school celebrations, and more an opportunity to engage in an interactive, Thunder-themed experience to learn about energy efficiency. The Community Ticket Program, presented by OG&E, offers free Thunder Basketball tickets to community groups, schools, and non-profits. Additionally, we join forces throughout the season to recognize local emergency personnel as OG&E Safety Partners, who exemplify our core values while protecting and serving our communities.
Scissortail Pollinator Garden
Working with Scissortail Park, we're raising awareness about the important role pollinators play in our ecosystem. Our partnership includes new plantings throughout the park and signage to highlight pollinator plants and the insects and animals involved in the pollination process.
Keep Oklahoma Beautiful
OG&E is a founding member of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful and we continue to support the organization's mission. Every year, we provide small grants to Oklahoma communities to help jump-start their Great American Clean-Up projects.
