We've heard our customers say that you want more tools to understand how you use energy and help you save. We're excited to share that Energy Insights now offers even more valuable information. These tools provide you with personalized recommendations so you can better manage how you use energy and your budget.
Energy Insights uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and smart meter data to recognize how much energy appliances like the fridge, heating, cooling, washer and dryer use.
As the actual energy use in your home changes, the insights from each appliance in your home will change, too. When you have a complete Home Profile, your Energy Insights become stronger. And stronger Energy Insights means more accurate personalized tips tailored to your energy use and opportunities to save on your next bill.
Most customers have access to all the Energy Insights tools, however customers on Guaranteed Flat Bill, SmartHours Overnight, renewable energy, and other large commercial and industrial rate plans are not eligible.
Introducing new tools
After each billing period, you’ll receive an email with a breakdown of your estimated energy costs by appliance, insights into how you use your energy compared to the previous period, and personalized tips to help you save. We’ll also send you recommendations for programs that increase the efficiency of your home or business.
On the web, view a monthly breakdown of your energy usage and cost by appliance with the Bill Summary tool and get month-to-month comparisons of energy use by appliance to see how you're progressing with the Bill Analysis tool.
See how your home compares to similar homes in your area based on energy use, home type, heating type, and square footage. Using the Similar Homes tool, you can see how efficient your home is and keep an eye on your efficiency.
The Rate Comparison tool located on your Account Summary page, compares three of OG&E’s most common rate plans—Residential Service /General Service, SmartHours Daily and SmartHours Fixed. This tool displays for customers with 10 or more months of energy use and is an estimate.
