Fostering Growth Across Our Region
We are committed to serving our communities—and we’re proud that our economic and community development offerings energize job growth and investment throughout our service area.
Our recent work with Mom’s Meals, a provider of home-delivered meals, enabled the company to find a 200,000-square-foot food prep kitchen in our service area while bringing roughly 550 new jobs to Oklahoma. “Mom’s Meals is a very exciting win. The company is going to bring a lot of new jobs to our city, undertake a big construction project and provides a great service to the community,” says Jeff Seymour, executive vice president of economic development for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber.
We worked with Hytrol, a material handling systems company, to locate its manufacturing operation in our service area. The move means 250 new jobs will arrive within the next five years to Fort Smith, Ark.
Supporting Job Growth
Our team’s work with Dollar General helped bring a new distribution center to Ardmore, Okla., supporting 800 jobs, including 70 new positions. “The decision by Dollar General to expand in Ardmore with the Fresh distribution concept is significant, as their original location was to be in the Dallas Metroplex,” says Mita Bates, President and CEO of the Ardmore Development Authority.
